How to make dawet ireng ice (cara membuat dawet ireng)

    Di tahun-tahun belakangan ini banyak sekali tersebar minuman-minuman baru dengan rasa yang unik juga enak seperti thai tea, es teh jumba, boba dan lain-lain. Namun meskipun demikian ada beberapa jenis minuman tradisional yang tidak kalah trend atau terkubur oleh jaman, seperti dawet ireng. Nah buat kalian yang mungkin belum tau seperti apa penampakannya berikut bisa kalian lihat di bawah ini :



Materials needed:

  • 500 ml
  • 60 g rice flour
  • 40 g tapioca flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 pack of plain Nutrijel
  • pandan paste to taste
  • green coloring to taste
  • 1 bowl of ice water (mix with ice cubes)

  • 50 grams of brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (according to taste)
  • 3 tbsp sweet thick
  • 3 tbsp powdered creamer
  • 200 ml hot water
  • 150 ml UHT milk
  • ice cubes as needed

Make the cendol first. Mix tapioca rice flour, plain nutrijel and salt.

Pour in the water, stir well with all the flour ingredients until there are no lumps.

Pour in pandan paste and enough green coloring. Stir well.

Cook the dawet mixture using non-stick Teflon, so it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan. Keep stirring until the mixture is cooked and has no lumps.

If you feel it is cooked, doesn't feel floury and is thick and elastic, remove from heat.6. Put the dough into a plastic triangle while it's hot, just cut off the small tip.

Spray a little at a time into the bowl of ice cube water. Do it quickly, don't wait for the mixture to cool because it will clump. Stir occasionally in the ice cube bowl. The dawet will solidify by itself.

For the sauce, dissolve the chopped brown sugar and powdered creamer in hot water. Mix with all the sauce ingredients, set aside.

Add the cendol to the sauce then pour into glasses.
